Crafted in the heart of Chianti Classico, the Contessa di Radda Chianti Classico Riserva is an expression of Geografico’s dedication to tradition and quality since its founding in the 1960s. With vineyards nestled in the historic communes of Radda and Gaiole—areas celebrated for their high-altitude sites and rich viticultural history—this Riserva brings together the best of the region.
Made predominantly from Sangiovese (90%), with small additions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Colorino, the wine undergoes meticulous vinification with prolonged maceration for optimal color and structure. It is then aged for 18 months, split between large 2,500L Slavonian oak tonneaux and French barriques, which contribute to its depth and complexity.
In the glass, it offers a deep ruby hue with aromas of ripe red berries, layered with hints of Indian spices. The palate is full-bodied and balanced, with refined tannins and a long, flavorful finish. This Riserva embodies the elegance and age-worthiness of Chianti Classico
