Corte d’Aibo Rosso Anfora "Meriggio" 2019
From a cooperative in the Colli Bolognesi or Bologna Hills founded in the 1960s by three families seeking a better and more meaningful life on the land, Corte d’Aibo has produced organic vegetables, grain and wine since their inception.
Meriggio – dialect for ‘hedgehog’ – is a delightfully clean natural wine produced in Tuscan giare made of terracotta. The three varieties are macerated and fermented on the skins from 30 to 180 days before blending. With an intense nose of red fruit and spices it is full-bodied, slightly tannic but with deep earthy notes, ripe fruit and a hint of chocolate. No filtration or added sulphur.
Very moreish; get it while it lasts!
