Tre Monti Albana Vitalba 2022
A charming wine from an equally charming organic wine estate owned by the late Sergio Navacchia and sons Vittorio and David. With its apricot scented thin-skinned fruit, Albana was historically dried and used to make some of Italy’s loveliest dessert wine. In this case however, 90 days skin contact and spontaneous fermentation in Georgian amphora (Kvevri) give this wine a certain tannic “grip” while also displaying characteristic apricot fruit, juiciness, and an altogether clean palate.
Region:
Imola (Emilia Romagna)
Grapes:
100% Albana
Style:
Skin contact
Soil:
White calcareous clay
Farming:
Certified organic
